I have worked in Education for12 years in Bournemouth, UK, supporting students from 3 to 19 year old

My name is Victoria, I am a Senior Technician in Social Integration (PTIS in Spanish) with more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of Education, in Spain and the United Kingdom.
I have supported kids, teenagers and adults with Special Needs, in Mainstream and Special needs schools. (3 to 19 years)

I have experience with children with Asperger's Syndrome and Autism (ASD), Intellectual Disability, General Developmental Disorder, Hyperactivity & Deficit Attention Disorder, Intellectual Disability and these derivative needs or disorders such as Anxiety Disorders, School Absenteeism, Eating Disorders, low self-esteem, difficulty in maintaining friends or understanding the reality that surrounds them. Also, with children with Challenging Behaviour.

In the time I was working as a Teaching Assistant in the United Kingdom, I had the opportunity to develop skills such as empathy, teamwork, perseverance, being positive and decisive and motivational, I have enhanced my social and communication skills as well as understanding and incorporating in my professional work fundamental values, such as the importance of respect and patience, to practice in the Education Sector.

I also think it is important to add that, I have stood out for being very organized and for knowing and using the most current technological tools in this field.

I am a person with a lot of initiative, I am very creative when it comes to proposing, organizing and carrying out activities with the people I have worked with. I have coordinated and performed workshops and activities,

I also have teaching experience as, during my time in England, one of my job duties for many years, was supporting students in the classroom, covering subjects such as English Literature and Grammar, Mathematics. Science, IT Science and Art.

I have also been a Career Counsellor, and I assisted in the process of employment internships for young adults who had finished school and college at the age of 18.

These practices took place in hotels in the town of Bournemouth, “The Royal Bath Hotel”, local makers gift shop, “Venture” in Christchurch, the supermarkets chain “Tesco”, and in the Radio Channel “Absolute Music”.

I have also carried out the planning and running of activities to promote the autonomy and independence of the students, such as Travel Training, Cooking, Shopping and dealing with real money.

After completing my studies of Social Integration in Granada In 2012, I moved to the United Kingdom with the aim of learning English as best as possible and growing professionally until I became a responsible and committed professional who has been improving her training through specific courses as well as with experience. All this in the personal conviction that, it was and is, the best way to support children and young adults in Mainstream and Special Needs Schools as well as, preparing the older students for adult life, teaching them skills to improve their relationships and communication skills so they are able to fully integrate into society.

My goal is to apply everything I have learned in these years in the Special Needs, environments, while being able to contribute from my experience and continue learning in a field I feel very strongly about.

I will be able to offer Theorical English Grammar Lessons combined with fun Practical Lessons interacting with my British native members of my family.

Students will be also able to improve their Listening and Vocabulary as they will face real conversations in English, about a wide range of different topics with English native accents in a normal basis environment out of a teaching room where possible.

I have had the privilege of being part of two great companies in the United Kingdom such us "Cambian Education" and "Linwood School" who are committed to the ideal that each person is unique and must therefore be fulfilled in all aspects of their lives, offering – for these reasons – multiple services for both students and their families, all forming part of an even larger family.

In Bournemouth (UK) Where I lived for 10 years, I got married and started a family with my husband and two wonderful children. It has been in the Special Needs Schools as Hill House School, Southlands School y Linwood School (Summerwood Campus) when I started working in Education just a few months after arriving in 2014. I can say that for me, this entire period has been an extraordinary experience that has made me mature, evolve, grow and develop happily as I have previously wanted to reflect. A year ago, my husband and I decided to move to Spain and, specifically to Granada, where I am from and where my whole family still live.

Since returning I started working as a PTIS Social Integration Technical Professional (Teaching Assistant) for the company Al-Alba and OBOLO, in Mainstream Schools Infant, Primary and Secondary. supporting the students in the classroom.,

These were covering staff absences, so I am still looking for job stability and somewhere where I learn and make a difference long term.
