Hi, my name is Haleah. I am from California and I lived in the United States for most of my life, in different places - California, New Orleans, even Alaska! My family and I recently moved to Basque Country in northern Spain and have been living here for three years. There are two native languages here, Basque and Spanish. I am learning both, so I know how difficult it can be to feel confident speaking another language. The best way is practice, practice, practice! I'm here to help you feel comfortable understanding and talking to native speakers.

I am CELTA certified and teach in the CELTA style, which means that I want you to spend as much time as possible practicing your fluency and understanding. The best way to learn grammar is by using it, and you will have quite a lot of speaking time in my classes. I will also teach you useful phrases and expressions that are fun to learn and will really make you sound like a native speaker! You are always welcome to ask me to use topics that interest you, since this is the best way to learn quickly and make the most of your speaking practice. I have taught over 700 classes to both adults and children, from beginners to fluent speakers wanting to perfect their conversation skills.

I love to travel, and when I am home I spend my free time gardening, hiking, and reading.
