Ivanna Navarrete

Hi, my name is Ivanna and I'm an English Teacher in Southern Spain. I was born in Peru and raised in Texas, so I'm fluent in both English and Spanish. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2020 where I studied Educational Psychology, and since then, I’ve worked in different educational and non-profit settings. Since October 2024, I’ve been living in Southern Spain and teaching English in primary schools. My students there ranged from 5 years old to 12 years old. I also have experience with private tutoring. Those ages ranged from 8 years old to 55 years old, and the proficiency ranged from A1 to B2.

When I’m teaching English, I really like to focus on first creating a comfortable environment. I know learning a new language can be really daunting, so I want to make sure my students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and advocating for their needs. I always make lessons catered to each student, based on the are they'd like to focus on, their strengths and weaknesses, and their learning style. I'm happy to work on reading, writing, pronounciation, grammar, or test preparation. My goal is to build your confidence and improve your language skills.

When I’m not teaching English, I like to exercise, read, and spend time outdoors and with friends. I love meeting new people, so I’m excited to have new students. I will make sure that our time together is engaging, productive, and something you look forward to. Hope to see you soon! :)
