Izza Mae Borlagdan

Hello! My name is Izza , and I am an English teacher with over eight years of experience teaching students of different ages and backgrounds. I have worked in international schools, IB candidate schools, and public schools, helping learners develop their English skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

My classes are student-centered, interactive, and tailored to each learner's needs and goals. I use a communicative approach that encourages students to actively use English through discussions, games, projects, storytelling, role-plays, and real-life situations. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, motivated, and involved in the learning process.

I have extensive experience working with children and young learners, particularly in primary education. Drawing on my background in inquiry-based and IB-inspired teaching, I design lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and confidence in using English.

In my classes, students develop all four language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—while building vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation naturally through meaningful activities. I adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles and proficiency levels, from beginners to more advanced learners.

My goal is to make learning English enjoyable, effective, and rewarding, helping students gain the confidence they need to communicate successfully in English both inside and outside the classroom.
