Hi! I’m John. I’m from Belfast, but I live in the north-west of Spain. I have a degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I have been teaching English for more than 20 years, mostly to adults.

I am very patient, friendly and I understand what it's like to learn a new language, as I learnt Spanish myself. I want you to feel comfortable during our lessons and not feel embarrassed if you make mistakes. Making mistakes is part of the learning process.


MY TEACHING STYLE

The structure of my lessons varies depending on the individual requirements of my students. However, the main focus of the lesson is getting you speaking, which is the best way to learn a new language.

The classes are tailored to topics that interest you. My teaching style emphasises speaking and listening and the lessons will be conducted completely in English.

This lesson is for students who have a high level of English. It will be a conversation practice class to get you more confident and fluent in English. You can also ask questions if anything is difficult for you, so I can help you and give you some examples.
