Kathryn Lupson

I would like to explain my qualifications to you first. I studied English Language and Literature at University and gained a BA. The I studied for my teaching qualification in English and Drama (PGCE). After some years teaching I decided to complete a Masters degree in Research in Education and most recently I was awarded a Doctorate in Education (EdD) where my research was based on the use of technology in the classroom.

At this point in my career I am looking to change the focus of my work and make use of my recently completed EdD. I have achieved all I feel I can in my current school as our A-Level results have been consistently 100% A-C under my leadership. I have introduced new systems, new work practices and new innovations to achieve this. I feel that my new skills and knowledge make me a good candidate for a more demanding post that will challenge me in the future. My recent studies have taught me to be extremely motivated and self-disciplined. I feel that I am in a good position to make a career change into Higher Education. My focus on the Creative use of Technology in the classroom is an area that I would like to pursue.
Currently my interests centre on my subject and my new qualification. I have organised many trips to the theatre, including the National and the West End as well as local theatres. I am also extremely interested in the topic of my doctorate; the creative use of ICT in the classroom and am still investigating this and developing new ideas. I enjoy travelling and spend many holidays abroad. As my husband is from Tenerife we have recently moved back. I also play the piano and this helped me with school productions. I have directed “Grease”, “We Will Rock You” and many other musicals.
