Khael Legaspi

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience working with children, along with my genuine passion for helping them learn and grow.

From May to June 2026, I volunteered as a tutor during Summer School, teaching basic math and English to children ages 8 to 15 from underserved and marginalized families. Working through one-on-one and small group sessions, I prepared lesson materials tailored to each child's needs and adjusted my teaching approach based on their individual pace and understanding. I have also worked with children ages 3 to 4, planning age-appropriate activities to support early learning in colors, numbers, and basic social skills, always ensuring a safe and structured environment.

My approach to working with children centers on trust and comfort. I make sure each child feels safe and at ease, and I believe strongly in encouraging rather than pressuring them, allowing them to progress at their own pace. I also place great value on keeping parents involved throughout the learning process, as their support plays an important role in a child's confidence and development.

I am fluent in English, which I believe would be valuable in supporting children's language learning. My Spanish is still at a basic level, as I have completed two months of classes and am continuing to study, but I am committed to improving quickly.

I am currently a first-year student at Universidad Europea de Valencia, pursuing a Global Bachelor's Double Degree in Business Administration and Marketing. My class schedule has not yet been released, as classes have not started, but it will be released weekly once they do. I wanted to mention this in advance and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my availability could align with the role's schedule.
