ABOUT ME:

Since every student has different goals and learning pace, I adjust the teaching method to the individual needs of every student. I always encourage my students to communicate (ONLY) in English, so they can learn how to express their ideas and concerns in a foreign language.

I'm also a keen language learner myself, I'm fluent in Spanish and I'm currently learning German, Arabic and French. Hence, I perfectly understand my students' concerns and do my best to make them feel comfortable during classes.

Finally, I just really love being a teacher. I genuinely care about my student's progress and well-being and perceive their achievements as my own successes. Having taught almost 100 people (!) of various ages and backgrounds, I found it fascinating how much I had learnt from my students too! Every class is a unique experience that continuously inspires me to become a better professional.

For me, teaching resembles embarking on a journey during which unexpected obstacles may arise. Only by working together, by listening and supporting each other, we can find the way to our destination!

-a distinction-awarded interdisciplinary thesis that combines linguistics and political philosophy to develop a critical analysis of grammar tenses and their respective conceptualizations of time.

First class BA degree in Politics and Economics at Newcastle University.

'The EU emergency relocation scheme: the analysis of the discursive self- and other-presentation.'
- a first-class dissertation project rooted in Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) that studies the language surrounding the 2015 refugee 'crisis' and its political implications.



ABOUT MY ENGLISH COURSES:

-Conversation: As a student of my conversation course, you can expect truly fascinating discussions on a variety of issues. Questions range in difficulty, from typical small talk to more complex social matters. During the conversation course, I will help you learn how to present a clear stance, build an argument and express your ideas in a convincing manner so that you can gain the self-confidence you need to shine at any social event!

-Exam Preparation: During the exam preparation classes, you will find out about a plethora of techniques that will allow you to succeed in the chosen test. Whether it is IELTS, CAE, FCE... you will get to know all the necessary grammar and vocabulary skills as well as significantly improve your written and oral expression by receiving detailed personalized feedback in each class. Students confirm that my tips helped them obtain the desired certificate and face the exam with way less stress!

-Business English: In this course, we will focus on improving your formal vocabulary, so that you can feel more confident than ever while representing your company at meetings with international clients or attending the interview for that job you've always dreamt of. Apart from oral expression, we will also practise delivering presentations, writing CVs, reports and formal and semi-formal letters.

-English Reinforcement: These classes are dedicated to kids and teenagers that struggle with English at school or simply need additional support to fill in the gaps in their English education. Classes are centred on the revision of the material taught at school by providing a more in-depth explanation of the topics (adapted to the individual needs of the student) and guidance for exercise solving. During this course, your child will also learn study skills that will facilitate their progress at school.

-General English Improvement (GEI): General English Improvement course is a combination of vocab, grammar, speaking and writing exercises that will prepare you for both professional and social settings. GEI is particularly recommended to adolescents and adults that want to polish their English knowledge without any specific goal in mind.
