Latika Haryson

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, as well as a Master’s Degree from the U.K. in Applied Communications. I have a PGCEi degree from the University of Nottingham with a distinction. I am committed to providing students with a dynamic and interesting learning environment in which they can grow and develop. I have more than 15 years of experience in teaching and I have taught both adults and children. As a result, I have developed excellent communication, leadership, organisational and time management skills.
I have experience teaching both adults and children. I am also fluent in Spanish. I have been teaching the British curriculum for the last 5 years and work in British school. I prepare children and adults for the Cambridge exams, interviews and presentations. I make my class as dynamic as possible and adapt my classes to your needs. I also have experience teaching Business English. After 18 years in Madrid I have realised that Spanish people are amazing at grammar but have a fear of speaking in English, so I focus my class on speaking even if we are studying grammar or vocab. I give my students real life scenarios where they will have to speak the language and defend themseleves. That is the only way to learn, I feel.
I use many resources like games, role play , idioms/phrasal verbs, speaking activities, videos, songs, films, and reading articles to make the class interactive and practical. Students will have fun and gain confidence while improving their English.
