Hi! I’m Emma — a TEFL-certified, native English teacher helping kids and adults learn with confidence

Hi! I’m Emma, a TEFL-certified, native English teacher from the U.S. currently teaching at a primary school in Madrid, Spain. I teach English to 3rd, 4th, and 6th graders and have experience teaching both children and adults at a range of levels.

I’ve taught full classes independently and have also worked extensively one-on-one with students who need extra support. I’ve taught adult classes as well, focusing on conversation, confidence, and practical English for real-life situations. Whether you’re a child building a strong foundation or an adult looking to feel more comfortable speaking English, I adapt each lesson to your goals and learning style.

I believe everyone learns differently. Some students thrive with structured lessons, while others learn best through conversation and guided practice—and I design each lesson to fit what works best for you.

I’m also a language learner myself and currently study Spanish at a B1 level, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language and aim to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
