Emma Roberts

Hello! I’m Emma, an English teacher from the U.S. currently living in Madrid, Spain.
I teach English to 3rd, 4th, and 6th graders and have experience teaching both children and adults at a variety of levels.

I am a teacher with a focus on conversation and confidence-building. I adapt my teaching based on each students needs as a learner. Some students benefit most from structured lessons, while others improve fastest through conversation-based practice—and I tailor my approach accordingly.

I previously taught in Costa Rica, where I planned and delivered English lessons in collaboration with a lead teacher, gaining experience across age groups and proficiency levels.

I’m also a language learner myself. I’m currently studying Spanish at a B1 level, so I understand firsthand what it’s like to learn a new language and the challenges that come with it.

Outside of teaching, I love traveling, learning about different cultures, and making music—I play guitar and sing. I bring creativity, patience, and encouragement into every lesson to help students feel comfortable and confident using English.
