When I signed up for Ratna’s Spanish course, I expected grammar drills and vocabulary lists. What I didn’t expect was a completely transformative experience that made me feel like I was being let into the logic, rhythm, and culture of a whole new language. Ratna also has this incredible way of adapting her feedback to the way you think. If you are a visual learner, she will sketch connections. If you need real-world context, she will pull up authentic audio clips. And when I hit a plateau, feeling stuck and self-conscious about speaking, she introduced light role-plays and conversational games that rebuilt my confidence from the inside out. Beyond the technical skills, what I appreciated most was how she made Spanish feel like a living, breathing part of my life. I have caught myself thinking in Spanish (not translating, but actually thinking) and that, to me, is the greatest sign of a good teacher. Ratna doesn’t just teach Spanish. She teaches you how to own it.
