Marcela Simbaqueva

I am a multilingual Environmental Engineer with a strong academic background and, most importantly, over six years of experience as a private tutor, working with both children and adults since 2018.

Throughout my tutoring career, I have taught languages as well as a variety of academic subjects, adapting my teaching style to suit different ages, learning goals, and proficiency levels. I have supported young learners in building confidence and foundational skills, while also helping adult students improve conversational fluency, grammar, pronunciation, and academic or professional language use. My approach is student-centred, patient, and highly adaptable, ensuring that each learner feels supported and motivated.

Having lived, studied, and worked in multiple international contexts, I bring a multicultural and empathetic perspective to language teaching. I understand the challenges of learning a new language firsthand, which allows me to anticipate common difficulties and explain concepts clearly and effectively. I place strong emphasis on communication, practical usage, and creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.

I am very comfortable teaching online and have experience conducting structured lessons remotely, using digital tools and interactive materials to keep students engaged. I am reliable, well-organised, and committed to helping learners achieve tangible progress, whether their goals are academic, professional, or personal.
