Comenzar enfatizando que me encanta enseñar y se me da muy bien. Como soy psicóloga tengo una manera de aproximarme al alumno que es muy personalizada, buscando identificar cuál es la manera en que le resulta más fácil y divertido aprender. No tengo un estilo igual para todos, sino que me adapto a las necesidades e intereses personales de cada uno. En cuanto al contenido de las clases, pues dependerá exclusivamente de las necesidades contingentes del/la alumno/a, si necesita ayuda con alguna materia en particular que se le hace más difícil, si tiene que estudiar y hacer esquemas o resúmenes para un examen, practicar la conversación en inglés sobre temas interesantes, o bien revisar sus canciones favoritas en inglés para poder aprender cantando! Me parece central que el/la alumno/a pueda perderle el miedo y la vergüenza que muchas veces nos da hablar en otro idioma o incluso hacer una pregunta en clases. La idea es que este sea un espacio seguro donde poder aprender, equivocarse y crecer.

Start by emphasizing that I love teaching and I am very good at it. As a psychologist I have a way of approaching the student that is very personalized, trying to identify which is the easiest and fun way to learn for each student. I don't use the same method and style with everyone, but I adapt to the needs and personal interests of each one. Regarding the content of the classes, it will depend exclusively on the contingent needs of the student, if they need help with a particular subject that is more difficult, or have to study and make diagrams or summaries for an exam, practice conversation in English about interesting topics, or revise your favorite songs in English so you can learn by singing! It is very important for me that the student can lose the fear and shame that many times we experimet when speaking in another language or even asking a question in class. The idea is that this is a safe space where you can learn, make mistakes and grow.
