I will take into account the different style but the most important thing is that I will deal with a Learner – Centered Perspective and Communicative Approach, fostering the use of authentic language, focusing on concepts that spark motivation by relating with the student´s life experience through authentic materials and personalized activities such as games.
The methodology in my class takes into account the following characteristics:
Both materials and activities selected will align with the students´ likes and interests and to be open and flexible so that students will get involved, participate and complete the tasks in their own way as much as possible according to their needs, preferences and pace. It is also active by providing motivating activities. Moreover, it has to be participative, so students can combine individual, pair and group work and they can interact promoting communication and cooperation among them. It should also be integrative wherein it includes personal and interdisciplinary topics to facilitate student’s possibility to get involved in different areas. Most importantly, activities and game should be enjoyable and creative to stimulate our students and avoid fixed and repetitive patterns. And finally errors are seen as part of the learning process, steppingstones for success.
