Mauro Castro Rodríguez

With 20 years of experience teaching English, I am currently an English language instructor at an Oxford Examination Centre, delivering instruction across all CEFR levels. I specialize in tailoring teaching strategies to diverse learner needs and preparing students for official examinations, including the Oxford Test of English (OTE), Cambridge exams, British Council Aptis, and EOI exams,
gaining extensive experience in exam preparation and assessment.

I have taught in a variety of educational settings, both within and outside the Basque Country, consistently helping students achieve their goals—whether passing official exams or mastering the language in a reliable and effective way.

I have extensive experience teaching students of all ages, particularly teenagers and adults, in diverse learning contexts including schools, teacher training programs, companies associated with the Port of Bilbao, summer camps, and workshops. I am committed to lifelong learning, as evidenced by my CELTA Cambridge Certificate.

I am skilled in leading and managing classes effectively. Over the years, I have refined my teaching methods to ensure students reach their objectives, developing strategies that address their unique
needs, interests, and educational backgrounds. I strive to create a positive, warm, and engaging
classroom environment that encourages participation and facilitates meaningful learning.
Interaction with students and colleagues has allowed me to continually reflect on my strengths and areas for improvement, using these insights to update and enhance my teaching approach.
