Misty Rose

Pleased to be here and offer classes!!! My name is Misty and I was born and raised in NY state, later lived in Arizona and moved around a bit before arriving to Spain. I have been in Spain for the last 14 years and have enjoyed learning the Spanish language.

I have a degree in Elementary Education and taught for a few years in the US. Here in Spain I have been teaching English for the last 13 years to all ages but grew to love teaching adults. I also stared a small company with a friend here in Spain doing English immersions in the country side with professionals in business, where we developed a very clear methodology of teaching.

My method is to teach through conversation. As we share in the classes (a balance between spontaneous and organized conversation through the use of activities and exercises) we will see and discover the gramatical structures that need to be worked on and improved. I am looking for students who wish to improve fluency with the language both in their professional and every day life. We will work on taking the fear and embarrassment out of speaking and understanding English.

I love teaching in general and I really love being an English teacher!!! As I speak a second language I am very comprehensive of the process and what it takes to speak and understand others. I have always been a very social person and I enjoy meeting new people and building bonds with my students. Teaching is full of many gifts and I am always grateful to my students!
