Mónica Ibáñez

My name is Monica, I am from Argentina and currently living in Europe, in the Madrid area, and I am the creator of *Comprehensible Spanish*, a project designed to help students learn Spanish in a clear, natural, and stress-free way. My teaching approach is based on comprehensible input: I explain everything in simple English at the beginning, provide clear examples, and use stories, images, and real situations so that students can understand the message from the very first moment. Learning becomes meaningful, accessible, and enjoyable.

I offer individual 1:1 online lessons, fully adapted to each student’s rhythm, level, and personal goals. I believe in creating a calm, friendly, and supportive environment where making mistakes is part of the process and every small step forward matters. Each class includes a clear emotional objective, and at the end of the lesson we review the verb or structure practiced through the story.

I have experience working with students from different countries and levels, especially beginners and intermediate learners who want to gain confidence when speaking. I use triangular questions, situation descriptions, and adapted readings with translation to ensure full comprehension. Sometimes I pretend to forget information to create natural repetition, and I also include questions about the student’s life or fictional characters to keep the class dynamic, personal, and engaging.
