Hello! My name is Morgan, I am from the United States, and I am an English teacher with more than 7 years of experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults. Throughout my career, I have taught students with different ages, levels, learning styles, and goals, both in person and online. I have also spent several years teaching English remotely, which has given me extensive experience adapting lessons and activities to an online environment.
My teaching philosophy is based mainly on a **communicative approach**. I believe that learning a language should go beyond memorizing grammar rules or completing exercises. Students need opportunities to use English in meaningful situations, express their ideas, ask questions, have conversations, and develop the confidence to communicate naturally. For this reason, I try to make speaking and interaction an important part of my lessons.
At the same time, I believe that grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing are all essential parts of learning English. I incorporate these areas into my classes according to each student’s individual needs. My lessons may include conversation activities, real-life situations, games, discussions, reading and listening activities, writing practice, vocabulary development, pronunciation work, and targeted grammar practice.
I consider myself a patient, supportive, creative, and adaptable teacher. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their goals, interests, strengths, and areas for improvement. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable participating, asking questions, and making mistakes because mistakes are a natural and important part of learning a language.
Whether a student wants to improve their everyday communication, prepare for an exam, develop their academic English, improve their speaking confidence, or simply become more comfortable using English, I adapt my classes to help them reach their specific goals.
My ultimate goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling that they have learned something useful, actively used English, and become a little more confident than when they started.
