I lived in Valencia for 5 months during university and there I volunteered teaching English to secondary students, ages The process was very conversational, talking about different topics and themes each session. My mother is also an elementary school teacher back in the US. I have experience teaching her students English during my free time as well.

The most important thing about teaching a new language is making sure the students are comfortable and confident, knowing it's an open space to make mistakes and learn. Throughout my time learning Spanish, I have always appreciated the teachers who made me feel empowered and also those who are patient with my learning curve.
