Nubia Kinghorn

Hi My name is Nubia, I have lived 32 years in Scotland. Apart from bringing up my family in Scotland I studied English and Child Psychology at The College gaining my Cambridge Proficiency Certificate.
I worked in Scotland, teaching languages, English and Spanish to Adults and children for 20 years.

I have recently added another English course on my portfolio this is a TEFL Certificate. Updating Grammar and classroom management methodology.

I have taught English to Adults in Abu Dhabi, The middle East.

I have been teaching languages for 20 years to Adults and children of all ages.
I have worked in Primary schools for the past 10 years, offering learning support to children with learning difficulties.

I have recently moved to Spain where I started working in the British School of Costa Dorada. Supporting Children with their learning of English.

Parallel to this I give support to some parents who feel uncertain in how to help their children with English at home.

I Now work privately teaching English ON LINE to Adults and children.

My methodology is a friendly approach where the student is made to feel confident to express him/her self with no inhibitions.

Apart from conversation I also use a combination of varied methodology, resources, grammar, literacy books and materials that might be relevant to the student. This includes newspaper articles covering headlines of the student's interest in business, politics, sports, opinions, weather forecasts, etc.

My classes are flexible ,to be tailored to the ability, level, interest or objective of each individual student.
