Diferencias entre present perfect y past simple

Hello Michael We use the Past Perfect Tense to talk about an action that happened before another action in the past. For example: By the time I arrived at the party, Peter had alreday left. This means that Peter was not at the party when I arrived because he had left before so I did not see him. We use the Present Perfect tense when we want to talk about experience and unfinished actions among other meanings. For exaple: Peter says: Let's watch the movie Fast and Furious 9 You say: I'm sorry I have already watched it. This mean you watched the movie sometime in the past (you do not say when) and of course, you do not want to watch it again. Another example: So far today, I have drunk three cups of coffee. The action is unfinished. It is not over because the day is not over and you may continue drinking coffee. Good luck with you English! Paola.
