Peter Buist

Hello! My name is Peter and I'm from Edinburgh, UK.

I have 4 years of experience teaching English at a language academy in Spain. My experience has provided me with a solid understanding of how native Spanish speakers perceive the English language. I have taught a number of classes in General English using primarily the Cambridge Assessment English framework, although I have also taught several other types such as Business English and Travel English.

As a teacher, I have learned that interaction is the foundation of a successful learning experience as it creates the environment for students and teachers to truly engage with one another. Each language learner has a different set of expectations, so I genuinely enjoy getting to know my students so I can tailor my classes to their needs. I feel that learning a language should be about more than just the language; I feel it can help create true connections and offer cultural exchange. Creating this environment is, for me, one of the most rewarding aspects of language learning.

I recognise the potential of online learning and I believe I can offer an excellent learning experience.
