Phil

Hey guys!

My name is Phil and I'm originally from Liverpool. I've been teaching English since 2012 and I'm Cambridge Delta qualified, which is a Master's in teaching. I've lived in Madrid since 2018, although I'm still working on my Spanish!

As a teacher I'm very communicative focused, so every lesson we will be speaking as much as possible. Unlike other teachers, I actually really enjoy teaching grammar as well as the other core language skills such as listening, reading and writing. I also like to make sure you have a record of your corrections and language suggestions at the end of the lesson. I always see the value in trying to get the most out of every class together.

I have a lot of experience in General English, Business and Professional English and English exams. I've taught Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, Aptis, Linguaskill ... you name it! For me it's important that the lesson is always about you and what you need.

I also have experience working for big companies such as The BBC, Nike and Chelsea football club (although I'm a Liverpool fan).

I enjoy talking about any topic you like - sports, music, books, films, politics, business or even the weather! I consider myself to be a very relaxed and friendly teacher who creates a positive learning environment. There is always a learning opportunity in every conversation we have.
