Robert Hanley

My name is Robert, I'm originally from Liverpool, UK.


I have been teaching English to a variety of ages contexts in Spain and the UK since 2017. I have a certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (CELTA) and a BA (Hons) degree in Modern Languages. I am also trying to get back into being a student myself so I can put myself into your shoes - my current challenge is to start learning valenciano/valencià.

If you would like to brush up on your accuracy, practice your fluency, work towards an exam, or use English in specific situations, I am here to help you.

Learning a language is a great confidence booster and my hope is that I can help to motivate you to keep on learning, using, and practising the language. I will encourage you to keep a notebook so that you can look back on your work and realise how much you have learnt when everything seems to be more of a challenge.

Classes will focus on one main objective - most corrections will focus on the main language objective, but there will always be room to talk more freely so that I can offer further advice. I follow a communicative approach whenever possible, always taking into account *why* we use certain grammar structures or idiomatic phrases.

For now, I am available for weekend classes, and potentially some evening classes during the summer months.
