Robert Hanley

Hello! I'm Rob, originally from Liverpool in England and living in Valencia, where I have been teaching since 2017.

I offer classes to prepare you for exams, such as those from Cambridge, British Council, IELTS or the EOI. These lessons will make you familiar with the exam format and I will constantly assess how you do with each part and give you advice on what to study further, including materials to use for practice.

In general English classes, I will estimate your general level in the first class, find out about you and why you want to learn, and try my best to adapt your classes to your own needs.

If you prefer something more conversation based, then your class will mostly be focussed on talking about a topic that we choose. I will teach you phrases that sound more natural to native speakers, improve your vocabulary, and correct your mistakes - more importantly, explaining why you are making those mistakes and how to avoid them in future.



I'm also interested planning on doing some project-based classes, in which you pay for a block of classes and work together in a group to produce something that you will present in the final class. If you aren't learning for an exam and would be interested in something more fun, practical and challenging, please contact me - it's not ready yet and it will depend on how many are interested as collaboration is possibly the most important aspect of this.
