Sandra Amado

I am Sandra Amado, an argentinian English philologist with pedagogical training. I lived in Oxford for a semester and I've been living in Valencia for over 6 years now.
I am an enthusiastic, hard-working and highly responsible professional with more than eight years experience in teaching students of different ages and levels.
I have worked for public, private and language schools in Argentina and in Spain. I have a lot of experience in preparing students for Trinity, Oxford and Cambridge exams in groups and one-to-one classes. I have also been imparting speaking and business classes for different companies. I'm comfortable with following a methodology and a structure as well as preparing my lessons from scratch. I'm fully aware of the importance of taking students' needs into consideration.
Recently, I've been incurring in the teaching of ELE in order to widen my horizons. I recently got my Masters degree for teaching Spanish as a foreign language and I'm currently working as a teacher of Spanish as well.
I always impart my classes from a communicative approach without disregarding the importance of acquiring a strong grammar basis. I believe that it is crucial to help students practice and develop the four skills inside the classroom and to encourage them to continue improving outside classes.
I am passionate about ensuring that each learner reaches their full potential not only by giving them tools to learn more effectively but also by ensuring an atmosphere of trust and confidence in every class.
