I'm an American who built a professional career in the UK over seven years, five of them in London, starting with no British connections and learning how British professional culture actually works. I hold two British master's degrees, in Forensic Anthropology from Cranfield University and Human Rights Law from SOAS, and have worked across international organisations, academia, law, and the tech sector.

I know what the rules are, why they exist, and what it feels like to not know them yet.

UK Networking and Professional Culture
British professional culture, its indirectness, understatement, and unwritten conventions, is genuinely hard to navigate without guidance. We cover networking, how to read a room, what to do and what to avoid, and how to build professional relationships in a culture that values warmth but rarely displays it obviously.
