Scott Lyons

Hello!

My name is Scott. I'm a native English speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught English in Ireland, Vietnam, Spain, and online to students from all over the world. I earned my TEFL certificate in 2013, my CELT certificate in 2014, and my TESOL diploma in 2022. I have experience teaching English in a range of classes, including exam preparation, speaking classes, teaching young learners, and Business English.

My main focus is on improving students' speaking and listening skills using the communicative approach. I help my students prepare for real-life situations, whether in business or everyday interactions. Many of my students are business professionals looking to enhance their English skills to achieve greater career success.

What to Expect in Our Classes
In our lessons, we will focus on real-world English through interactive speaking practice, including roleplays and discussions. I will tailor each lesson to your specific needs and provide homework after every session. Together, we’ll work toward your language goals while having fun and engaging conversations.

A Little About Me
I was born in America but grew up in Ireland. I currently live in Spain and am learning Spanish, so I understand the challenges of mastering a new language. I love traveling and have visited more than 40 countries. I'm also passionate about sports (especially soccer and MMA) and cooking. I enjoy meeting new people, and many of my students have become friends over the years.
