Shane Phillips

Hello! I’m Shane. I’m a native English teacher from Ireland and I have been living in the province of Cádiz since the summer of 2021.

I have been an English teacher online since the beginning of 2021, and I began teaching English in an academy here in Spain in September 2021. I still work at this academy. Because of that, I have experience with many types of students - from many countries online, but the majority of my experience is with Spanish students.

I have an (unofficial) level of Spanish, more or less B2, so I can explain basic things about the English language in Spanish if you need it, but classes with me will be in English only for the majority of the time. I have experience with Cambridge English exams, and in the academy where I work, I prepare students for those exams at B1, B2, and C1 levels (PET, FCE, and CAE).

I can help you with:
-Exam preparation for the Cambridge English Exams
-Bettering your English level in general (grammar, vocabulary, conversation, culture, etc.)
-Conversation in English

All material is included, and I can adjust the themes/topics to be interesting for you. We will use grammar exercises to learn the various structures, articles and audios to learn vocabulary and conversation to gain fluency. The classes will be online only, using Google Meets, and we will use Google Docs to do exercises, examples, and homework (if you want to do exercises at home on your own to practise more).
