Stephanie Alana Simpson

About me:
-Hi, I'm Stephanie! I'm from New Hampshire, United States and I'm an English teacher and course creator as well as a Ph.D. student, researcher, and instructor of Social Sciences and Hispanic literature. I've been teaching English as a Second Language for 9 years, both in-person and online.
-I have lived in Argentina for the last 8 years. I lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for 5 and a half years, where I studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature in 2015.
-I’m certified to teach English as a second language: I’ve held a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Second Language), and TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) since July 2015.

The classes:
-I mostly use natural language acquisition and comprehensible input. In other words, I teach grammar, vocabulary, and conversation at your specific level and in context so that you can understand and learn English naturally, the same way you learned your native language.
-I prepare personalized English lessons and adapt them to my student's or group’s needs. I can also prepare you for exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or other Cambridge Exams. Your first trial class will serve to talk about your goals and preferences and learn more about each other.
-I use a variety of materials to guide our organized study plan such as written exercises, textbooks, readings, music, and class activities that stimulate your speaking! I look forward to meeting you!
-Please keep me up to date with your schedule so we can make sure you don’t miss any classes. The goal is for you to attend every class you schedule. Attendance = practice = fluency
