Hello, my name is Tanner Cowens. I am a US citizen now living in Jijona, ES, and I would love to be your new English teacher.

I grew up in a state called Oregon, on the West coast of the USA, and grew up among a family of teachers, and have always been involved in the public school systems. Furthermore, I have plenty of teaching experience online, and am fully TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified.

Students in my online English teaching course can expect a carefully structured, progressive learning plan designed to build confidence and real-world communication skills through immersion. The course begins with foundational lessons focused on basic introductions, everyday vocabulary, and essential grammar, allowing students to quickly start expressing simple ideas. Early sessions emphasize listening and speaking, helping learners become comfortable hearing and using natural American English.

As students progress, lessons shift toward conversational English, where we practice common dialogues, situational role-plays, and practical expressions used in daily life. Pronunciation becomes a key focus, with guided exercises to improve clarity, rhythm, and accent awareness. Special attention is given to commonly confused words and verb forms, such as “read” versus “read,” helping students understand meaning through context and proper usage.
