Winnie

My name is Winnie Ariwi and I am 26 years old. I have two years of teaching experiences focused on children between the ages of 7 and 12. I have experience as an English teacher in my home country and have also worked as an English tutor in Spain. Through these experiences I have been able to be exposed to students from diverse backgrounds and have a larger appreciation of the different perspectives presented to me as a teacher.
I particularly enjoy being an English teacher because my lessons can be fun and interactive. My tutoring technique is creating a fun and safe environment where I can easily interact with the students and they can also speak to one another. I achieve this by structuring my course content with theoretical classes that are paired with exercises afterwards. I also use simple videos that tell stories as these make the classes more fun and the students while also building their skills. To also reduce monotony my course content also includes games that allow me to freely interact with the student. this helps them in building their confidence to speak English while still tapping into things that interest them in their day to day life.
