Sumar como pareja en inglés

Hello everyone! Could someone tell me how'd you express in english "sumar como pareja" which means that when you have a partner and together you help each other, is easy to be around them, you understand each other, together you walk and go further, metaforically speaking. I've seen something like: you add as a couple, but it might be a quite direct translation from spanish. Thanks in advance!

Hi, from the context I would guess, "work well together as a couple" or something like that. I don't know a better expression for that myself.

Well, "add as a couple" doesn't make sense. My spouse and I say "we're a team," meaning we approach life together, both the good things and the challenges. You could also say "we're better together," which means that two people working together can accomplish more than two people working apart.

Hi there, I think somebody already said it, but something like "I would like both my partner and I to be team players in our relationship", or "my partner and I are a team". "Add as a couple" doesn't make any sense in English and it's a direct translation. Maybe I am getting off topic here, but I think it's more used in work relationships and dynamics when for example they say: "I think ________ will be a great addition to our team". Hope this helps!

There is no exact translation but it can be expressed in many ways, such as: "we work well together" "it is a healthy relationship and we support each other" or "We love and understand each other so well that we are a great team"

Hi Montserrat! Are you spanish? I adore all your answers, but I was wondering if there exists a closer expression to the spanish one: Cuando una persona suma, no resta. Se puede atribuir a relaciones sentimentales pero también a amistades. Thank you!

Hi there Judit "Sumar como pareja" means there is an "intimate bonding" with your partner. that means a bonding in every sense of the word. physically and mentally, no secrets; a complete yielding to the other half. I hope that helps Un saludo

Hello! I don't think there's a literal translation os this expression in English. I would say "We are a team as a couple" o "We balance each other out". I hope this helps you.
