I’m a native English speaker from the US, currently teaching in the Madrid secondary school system, with experience across ESO and Bachillerato levels. My Spanish is close to fluent, which means I can help explain grammar concepts in your language when it matters, hopefully limiting frustrating communication barriers.

For students, my classes focus on the areas that show up in exams: grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and oral expression. Sessions are structured, with clear goals each class. If requested, we can absolutely shift to “real communication” English learning, and help students gain confidence speaking English in every day situations.

For adults and professionals, the approach is already shifted toward real communication — meetings, emails, presentations, or simply gaining the confidence to speak without freezing up. I adapt to your pace and your goals, whether that’s polishing your CV in English or preparing for a job interview.
In both cases, I don’t rely on textbook exercises alone. I use real materials like articles, conversations, authentic content, and anything else that might pop up on any given day. I give direct, honest feedback. You’ll always know what you’re working on and why.

I’ve been living and working in Madrid for some time, so I understand the specific challenges Spanish speakers face with English, and I know how to address them!

I know learning English can seem like a scary challenge, but we will work together to break everything down into small, manageable problems that we can pick apart. I look forward to any challenges ahead!
