Owen Malonyay

My name is Owen Malonyay, I am a graduate of TEFL International Barcelona and since my graduation I have been taking lessons in and around Barcelona. I am a registered autonomo with my own transport and I can also take telephone and skype classes.
I am originally from Australia, where I owned and operated a small electrical business. I also have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, working as a chef where I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and training my co-workers, from many different nationalities, with varying levels of English skills.
Traveling in South East Asia, I found a passion for communication, language and culture, through staying with local families and teaching them English. After careful consideration and thorough research I decided to move to Barcelona and further pursue a career in teaching English.
On my way to Barcelona I traveled to Nepal and undertook a volunteer teaching program. That experience, through the relationships I built with the students, reaffirmed my decision to become a teacher.
I take great pride in my work ethic and dedication to each job I have had.
