Raquel Varela

QUALIFICATIONS:
I'm a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language with extensive experience ( 33 years - I've just retired from teaching). I was also a Reader of English an American Literature at the Teacher Training College 4 in my hometown, Reconquista, Argentina.
I specialise in training students for C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency . My genuine enthusiasm for English makes me a very motivating teacher.
I understand that every student learns at their own pace. Thus, I can provide individualised support and guidance to each learner, ensuring no one is left behind.
I always endevour to explain things in a clear and understandable manner, making the content accessible to students of varying backgrounds and abilities. I'm flexible if I need to be,adapting my teaching methods and strategies to meet the diverse needs of my students.
I foster creativity and critical thinking by incorporating innovative teaching techniques, activities, and resources that engage students and stimulate their imagination.
MY INTERESTS:
I'm a facilitator in a Book Club, where colleagues and former students of mine meet to read and discuss novels.
I like reading (all sorts of genres) and listening to all kinds of music, including Classical music. I enjoy watching series and films in Netflix, specially if they're British or European. I like doing Pilates and yoga and chilling out. I love spending time with my friends in a Cafe over a cup of coffee or tea and a good piece of cake. I love Art and culture in general and one of my pastimes is to visit Art galleries and museums.
