Hello! My name is Rasheed Adeyinka, and I am a friendly and patient English tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Education) in Islamic Studies and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree, which has helped me develop clear communication skills and a structured approach to learning.


I have experience teaching and supporting students from different backgrounds, especially non-native English speakers who want to improve their conversational confidence and academic English. I have a strong background in teaching and education, supported by formal academic training and practical classroom experience. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Education) in Islamic Studies, which included professional coursework in teaching methodology, lesson planning, learner assessment, and classroom management. As part of the degree requirements, I completed a three-month supervised teaching practice in a secondary school, where I taught in a classroom setting and was formally evaluated.


I also have hands-on experience teaching English Language to senior secondary school students (SS1–SS3) in Nigeria. In this role, I worked with learners at different proficiency levels and supported them in improving grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and spoken English. This experience helped me develop clarity in explanation, patience, and adaptability to students’ learning needs.


Currently, I have been recruited by Kampong English Plus to teach English to students at a boarding school in Majalengka, Indonesia. In this role, I work with predominantly Indonesian learners, focusing on building conversational confidence, vocabulary, and practical English communication skills in a structured learning environment.


I also support non-native English speakers in improving conversational and academic English, helping them express their ideas more clearly and confidently. My teaching methodology is learner-centered and practical. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning pace, using clear explanations, guided practice, and real-life examples. I emphasize active participation, continuous feedback, and a supportive learning environment. While I do not currently hold a specific English teaching certificate such as TEFL or TESOL, my education degree, supervised teaching practice, and classroom experience equip me with effective instructional strategies and a professional approach to teaching.
