The use of target language in class, is it a good idea?

The first thing students will ask is what is this language, this means that you can only speak the language you are studying, for example if you are studying English then you will only speak English and not Spanish is allowed 90% of the time This can often put students off learning another language as they may have scared they will not understand what the teacher is talking about.

But I did not care about this, I did when I was and my family moved to Spain and we could not speak the language but I was taught this way I found it helpful not only did we learn words, but was able to put them into sentences therefore I was able to start having conversations with our neighbors and even found shopping much easier. This is one of the benefits of going to a class or using tutor who uses target language teaching, you will be able to use what you have learned and start forming sentences, meaning you will be able to start having conversations with people rather than struggling with just one or two words that you know.

But the main thing for any student to remember is that through the process everyone makes mistakes and they get words mixed up and you find people looking at you confused this is natural it is all part of the learning process, but do not worry laugh it's off and try again we're all human and all make mistakes but the main point is you tried.
