Repaso segunda y tercera condicional: If things were different

SECOND CONDITIONAL

- We use it to talk about things in the future that are probably not going to be true.

- We use it to give advice

· if + past simple, ...would + infinitive

· If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house

· If I were you I would study more to pass your exam

THIRD CONDITIONAL

We make the third conditional by using the past perfect after 'if' and then 'would have' and the past participle in the second part of the sentence:

· if + past perfect, ...would + have + past participle

· If I had gone to the airpot earlier, I would have had tie to have lunch there

We used the third conditional to describe a situation that didn't happen, and to imagine the result of that situation.
