Learning a new language can be extremely hard, especially when you do not know where you should search your information, you have no teacher and no books. I am gonna tell you 3 tricks to get your motivation to start learning a new language and level up the game.
1. Make friends that are native in the language you are trying to learn or friends which whome you can only speak in that language as they want to learn it too. This will be so important for practicing your speaking skills, having a study buddy and getting your motivation from wanting to communicate with them. I tried this when I started learning Turkish and it helped me a lot with the pronunciation.
2. Use technology! There are countless free apps for leaning languages and you should definitely try them. Duolingo is the first one to cross my mind, but I used more than 20 in my language learning journey. Technology is a tool our parents did not have when they were trying to study new languages, so we should definitely take advantage of it. Apps are not the only place on internet where you can learn or practice your language skills. A lot of websites are offering free worksheets and exercises for the students.
3.Perseverence pays off they say. And I for sure agree with them! Nothing comes out of inconsistency, to learn a new habbit takes 30 days. Start by practicing 20 mins everyday before bedtime and never stop this habbit until you accomplish the level you want. Little by little you will discover 20 mins does not seem so much when you will already be used to studying.
Be patient! It took you more than 3 years to learn your mother language, how do you expect to learn a new whole language in less than some months?
